In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful…
As always, I start my post the same way most of the chapters of the Qur’an begin… By praising the One worthy of ALL PRAISE.
I wanted to share a video I came across yesterday. Before I post the video, I wanted to say a few things…
In an unlikely scenario that somebody who lost a loved one on 9/11 is reading this, I want to send my condolences for your loss. God has a greater plan and may He has mercy on your loved one.
As I am sure you all have heard Muslims claim many times, Qur’an does not condole killing of the innocent.
If anyone slays a person, unless it be for murder or for spreading mischief in the land, it would be as if he slew all people. And if anyone saves a life, it would be as if he saved the life of all people. [Quran 5:32]
Next, I will quote a verse from the Quran that us often quoted out of context when media/people try to defame Islam:
“Fight in the cause of Allah those who fight you, but do not do aggression, for Allah loves not the aggressors. Fight in the way of Allah against those who fight against you, but begin not hostilities. Lo! Allah loveth not aggressors. And slay them wherever ye find them, and drive them out of the places whence they drove you out, for persecution is worse than slaughter. And fight not with them at the Inviolable Place of Worship until they first attack you there, but if they attack you (there) then slay them. Such is the reward of disbelievers. But if they desist, then lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. And fight them until persecution is no more, and religion is for Allah. But if they desist, then let there be no hostility except against wrongdoers.” (Al-Baqarah 190-194)
This verse is talking about the battlefield during time of war, whereas it is presented by anti-islamics as a verse that implies to everyday life.
Here are some numbers to crunch:
American lives taken on 9/11 by Muslim “terrorists“: <3,000
Muslim lives taken in Afghanistan & Iraq by American "soldiers“: >500,000
In a more likely scenario that a Muslim who has lost a loved one post-911 because of the US invasions to Iraq & Afghanistan… May Allah give you patience and grant your loved one the highest level in Jannah.
The fact of the matter is, being American doesn’t give one the right to define the term “TERRORIST”… Terrorism is terrorist. Whether its by a Muslim, American, Asian, Atheist, or anyone else. TERROR IS TERROR!
Here’s the video at last:
May Allah guide us all and our loved ones… And have mercy on ALL the innocent who lost their lives because of TERRORISM…
